The Berry Beef Boneless Ribeye is a tender, well-marbled steak that’s ideal for grilling or pan searing. Raised on Kentucky pastures with access to grass and corn, our cattle are never confined to a feedlot or given hormones or antibiotics. Each ribeye is cut by our independent local butcher, giving you consistent quality and rich flavor in every steak.

Our Mission

Our Home Place Meat was established by The Berry Center in 2017 to develop a co-op for small to mid-size livestock farmers to sell local Kentucky grass fed meat to regional markets.

Beginning in our home place – Henry County, KY – we are building a healthy food and farm model that can be replicated in communities throughout the country.

The Berry Beef Boneless Ribeye comes from the rib section of the animal, where natural marbling runs through the meat and delivers the tenderness and flavor that make this cut one of the most sought-after steaks. It’s a favorite of chefs and home cooks alike because it sears beautifully, slices easily, and offers rich flavor in every bite.

That flavor begins with farming. Our cattle are raised entirely on pasture in Henry County, Kentucky, with free access to both grass and corn. This grain-over-grass method is respects the agricultural traditions of our region and gives the ribeye its balance of tenderness and depth. The cattle are never sent to feedlots, and they’re never given added hormones or antibiotics. Instead, they grow in open space under the daily care of farm families who know the land and the animals well.

Berry Beef is more than just a name on a package. It represents a network of small family farms working together through The Berry Center, an organization dedicated to carrying Wendell Berry’s vision for sustainable agriculture into practice. The Berry Center advocates for farming that builds soil health, protects rural economies, and keeps farmland productive for generations. When you choose Berry Beef, you are directly supporting that mission.

Every Boneless Ribeye is cut by our independent butcher here in Kentucky, keeping the process local and close to home. From pasture to plate, the work stays in the community, strengthening a local food economy where both farmers and consumers share the benefit.

Cooking a ribeye doesn’t need to be complicated. A hot cast iron skillet or grill, a generous seasoning of salt and pepper, and a little rest before slicing are all it takes. What makes this ribeye truly stand out is knowing that its flavor is rooted in farming that works for the land, the animals, and the people who depend on both.
